<br/><br/> The proposed site is situated on the Ayii Saranta river, tributary to the Atsas river. Topographically the site is not ideal for dam construction and only a structure of the height of the order of 20 metres or less should be considered. It rests within the Upper Pillow Lavas which are intruded by a fair amount of north-south trending almost vertical dykes of variable width and few northeast trending sills with a modest dip to the northwest.
