N2  - It is well known that women played a singnificant role in prehistoric societies, especially in the Aegean and Cyprus.     The scope of this paper to show, on the evidence of the female figurines, the position of women in the societies of these areas and explain the role they playd as an important and essential element in several activities of these societies
