It is well known that Cyprus received strong influence from the ceramics of the Eastern Aegean at the end of the Cypro-Geometric and during the Cypro-Archaic period. Studies have mainly focused on the ceramic material from coastal / commercial centres / settlements when such influence is always stronger and as a result more apparent. This paper will be dealing with Eastern Aegean influence on Central cyprus and, more specifically, the area around Nicosia as well aw the city itself. Finds from recent and old excavations indicate that the same impact observed on the material of coastal centres is also apparent inland.
